• Final research report of IMPLIT project (pdf, 8.6 Mo) forming part of the GICC programme (Management and Impacts of Climate Change) of the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development (see the site of the Ministry).

This project was dedicated to studying the impact of extreme events (storms and surges) on hydrosystems of the Mediterranean coasts within the framework of climatic change, and was carried out in partnership with the CEREGE (C. Brunel, S. Meulé, V. Moron, F. Sabatier and A. Ullmann), CETMEF – Aix (P. Gaufrès), CETMEF – Compiegne (P. Sergent and V. Laborie), EID Méditerranée (H. Heurtefeux), MEDIAS France (M. Hoepffner and J.L. Boichard), Tour du Valat (P. Chauvelon and M. Pichaud), University of Compiègne (A. Ouasine). It was coordinated by Vincent Moron and François Sabatier, in charge of scientific management of the ANR EXTREMA project within CEREGE (University of Aix-Marseilles I & CEREGE, UMR 6635 CNRS).


The results and conclusions of this work, in particular the evolution over the next few decades of offshore storm events and marine surges in the Gulf of Lion, are of interest within the framework of the projects EXTREME and EXTREMA.
