The purpose of this study is to provide an evaluation of the influence of current knowledge uncertainties on reactor basemat melt-through timing by performing reactor calculations with the ASTEC/MEDICIS code developed by the French "Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire"in collaboration with the German GRS organisation. Such an evaluation involves assumptions and models taking into account available data both from past MCCI experiments and from recent 2D MCCI tests.
